The company ‘BEJAH’ was founded in 1948 by the late Ben Jansema in Hengelo (Overijssel, the Netherlands). As a motorcycle racer and enduro rider he sold Solex mopeds in his forge. His first product idea was born there; ‘the Solex bracket’. After a short time in Tubbergen, the company moved to its current location at Asjeskampweg in Hardenberg in 1954.
In 1985, the late Henk Droste bought the company from the Jansema family and further developed it under the name DROSTE BEJAH into an important producer for international customers in the bicycle, motorcycle and grass machine industry. In 2001 his son Eddy Droste took over the company, which transformed DROSTE BEJAH into a specialist company in the field of metalworking for the Netherlands and abroad.
